Its Time For Pride & Prejudice & Zombies
NOTE: if easily offended, don't try the links
Just why didn't Jane Austen ever include the undead in her books? I'm starting to wonder about this question more and more!
The book Pride & Prejudice & Zombies which will be published by Quirk Books in April, comes from Los Angeles-based TV comedy writer and published author Seth Grahame-Smith, who has been able to update Jane Austens original because it is out of copyright. Grahame-Smith said about 85% of his novel is Austens original text. In case you wonder, the gory parts aren't by Austen!
And now Hollywood is sniffing around the author, with ideas of making this into a movie, is this the beginning of a new genre? The porn industry has been doing this for years, but only with the movie titles, now you can have the whole story, as the original author didn't intend it! I have to admit, I'm interested!

Re: Its Time For Pride & Prejudice & Zombies
Hmm, where Mr D'Arcy is concerned, I'd kind of be favouring the porn version
However, I reckon taking an out of copyright bestseller and jazzing it up a bit is a real winner... off to look at my bookshelves
