Man who took overdose wins £90,000 from hospital that hurt his arm saving his life
A man who tried to kill himself has received £90,000 damages from the hospital which saved his life but left one of his arms damaged.
Michael Dexter was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary after taking around 100 pills with rum and cola, and was given an excessive amount of neutralising drugs.
These caused severe tissue damage to his right arm, which he described as 'third degree burns'.
