Speed camera operators have admitted underhand tactics - after being caught on camera hiding behind a sign to catch drivers.

A sharp-eyed motorist reported the mobile speed camera van parked behind a large road sign.

It was almost invisible to drivers and contained a camera which operators trained on cars travelling along the 30mph-limit road.
