Any sensible ideas?
Currently I'm painting my hallway and stair-well in Magnolia.(Cheap and cheerful)
Which colour gloss should I use on all the woodwork?
Using a search engine throws up either white, magnolia or extremes such as chocolate, coffee etc.
I intend to line both sides of my stairs with a multitude of framed photographs in different sizes which will give some colour.
(This is my feminine side coming out.ALRIGHT!)

I'd go with magnolia. The more uniform the background, the more your photos will stand out. At a pinch I'd use 'beige', 'taupe' or whatever the paint manufacturers are calling 'a bit darker than magnolia' these days

Re: Any sensible ideas?
Thats sound advice.Thanks.
All the gloss is white at the moment and doesn't look right.I like the sound of 'off magnolia' but think magnolia is the answer as there is a painted hand-rail the full length of the stairs which wouldn't look right in any other colour.
Thanks again.

Re: Any sensible ideas?
I have all wood including doors, rails and skirting boards glossed in brilliant white in my house. Most of the wall are painted in Ivory white which is similar to magnolia.
Looks superb. I always prefer brilliant white for the wood parts. Looks so clean
