Ooh... The Changes?! Was that the prog where there were just a few kids left alive after some sort of apocalyptic event?
I think I've blanked it out a bit as too traumatising but I do remember being riveted at the time. I think I even had the books it was based on too!

It's all coming back to me now!
I think I might buy the book(s)... for my eldest, obviously though I might peek through my fingers and see if they're still as alarming!

i think the tv series started at book 2, and the boat bit was book 3, but it was 30 yrs ago loll

ooooooooh what about 'the boy who fell to earth'? I remember being made to watch it with an older class when I was at little school, screwed me up for weeks! that pale kid! Urgh!
